According to The Blast, Lil Kim has has been able to get her finances in order and no longer needs help from the court to protect her from creditors.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the rapper is asking a federal judge to dismiss her bankruptcy.
Lil Kim filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy back in May 2018. She says the purpose was to save her New Jersey mansion from being foreclosed on. Once she filed for bankruptcy, it put a pause on all legal actions over the home.
The rapper says since she filed for bankruptcy, and had time to obtain a lawyer, she has been able to get a loan modification for her home.
Kim says she no longer needs the bankruptcy and has her finances in shape.
The other day it was reported that Lil' Kim was being sued by a doctor by various websites (see below news story)
Kim took to Instagram to issue a scathing response to Bossip, the original source of the story.
"This s*** is SUPER CAP! I am so sick of you lame desperate ass blogs reporting all these stupid lies just to try and pop your wack corny sick sadistic blogs off. According to hotnewhiphop.com, a Northern New Jersey urologist, Dr. Gregory Lovallo, has accused Lil Kim of cashing in on an insurance scam whilset concurrently failing to pay $15,000 for specialized medical treatment she was receiving - he suspects as part of the con. Earlier this month, Dr. Lovallo sued the “How Many Licks" rapper for breach of contract, saying that Kim had never paid her $15,000 bill for the urology-related healtch care he had provided her. The urologist also believes that Kim’s treatment may have been related to an insurance scam that she later profited off of.
Though the doctor does not go into detail about what made him suspect that Kim was allegedly part of an insurance scheme, court papers state that he did claim that she was "unjustly enriched" as a result.
The doctor is now requesting the $15,000 - plus interest - and his lawyer’s fees paid. Lil Kim hadn't responded to the case as of May 31, however, if she doesn’t answer the doctor’s complaint by next month, a judge could put her in default over the case.
